I can't even count how many times I've been plagued by over-sized, unrealistic 'body proportions' in many series.

candy: I know, to many series are like Highschool of the Dead and Highschool DxD. Where the characters have huge breasts, that are just not possible. The female characters are over sexualized and just disgusting. The sad thing is you know they only do this to attract themale audience. :/ Shows like Kill la Kill shows you, that you can have accurate chest sizes and they can still be sexy. But also, they don't over sexualize them and almost make fun of people who want that stuff.

And you know the sad thing is I didn't know what image to use for the 'Beautiful heavy bodied characters' choice. I couldn't think of one and searching for them they all were ugly male characters. She was the only one I could find that was close to what I'm talking about. I'd love it if someone could tell me what Anime she is from.

@pumpkin. Yeah, it's annoying. Like really, really annoying. =__= And I hate those anime too! >< That's precisely the reason why hentai/ecchi are my least favorite genres and avoid them like the plague. ^_^" Idk if it's just me, but fanservice irritates me a lot.
I kinda dropped Kill la Kill, but at least it's not that bad on the fanservice..

Candy: Too me Kill la Kill is very important on that topic. It jokes about nudity, all the characters have accurate chest sizes, it has a subtle message of being okay with your body, and while their battle uniforms are skimpy they are not over sexualized. It's like if a girl was in a bikini, those shouldn't be sexual. And an added bonus all the female characters are strong and independent, plus having an amzing plotline. Of course you get the nasty perverts who watch it for stuff like that, but it isn't the audience it's trying to get. I can keep rambling on about why it's such a good series.

Honestly, I agree with all of these. Overall, I think anime should have more representation and diversity.

I agree with most of these. I want to quickly point out that I really agree with "female characters with accurate chest sizes"... I don't really like fan-service in anime, so this one is important to me.

Anyway, onto the main one. I really like seeing different art styles, like in older anime, like Clamp series for instance (Cardcaptors, Tsubasa Chronicles). Also One Piece, Hunter X Hunter and Berserk all had unique styles, as well. In fact, I'd even call K-On an anime with somewhat more unique style than a lot of other ones.
