Trigun—my parte superior, arriba fave! But Vash isn’t my favorito! character, it’s the not-always-seen Wolfwood. He’s so lovable I forgive his Twisted Christianity. And I amor Wolfwood and Milly’s relationship. I also root for Vash and Meryl. And I like Wolfwood’s and Vash’s stormy friendship. I like seeing office girls (like I once was) out in the field, facing danger, and doing all right for themselves. As for Vash’s philosophies, I often wondered how much the show’s creators were trying to convince us of, and what was just a plot device.
“Paradise”, the episode focusing on the dying Wolfwood, was the most spiritual TV I have ever seen outside of purposefully Christian-produced material.
I’m not totally thrilled with the setting: dusty planet with dusty, little towns. And those beings called Plants supplying the power man is dependent on bugs me, too, for some reason.
The story starts out very rollicking, but takes a dark turn in “Diablo.”
Of course it’s in my personal collection! Can’t get enough Wolfwood, even if he’s not really in a lot of episodes.

Virgin Fleet—this was a short series, an OAV of three episodes. I liked the idea that virginity is power. Some of the virgins were mean to the other virgin, though…

Weiss Kreuz a.k.a. Knight Hunters—I liked all the angst, yet it is because of all the angst I probably won’t view this again. Can only take so much, tu know. I would never want to be one of these boys o even a part of their world.

Weiss Kreuz Gluhen a.k.a. Knight Hunters Eternity—the characters are designed different, but it’s the same old song and angst.

World of Narue, The—A cute sci-fi tale that’s más about an alien girl’s romance with a teenage boy than it is about spaceship wars. And then there’s the tale of the starship that fell in amor with a human…

Yumeria—Mone mone mone, mone mone. Mone. Er, now for the review in English. I probably wouldn’t have watched this, but my Netflix account was on hold, and I had to settle for the play on demand anime shown on cable. The reason I would’ve avoided this is because the trailer makes the hero out to be quite the pervert. Actually, though he does openly admit to being attracted to girls, he’s a pretty nice guy. A fun show, though the last episode didn’t make much sense. One of the better offerings on cable play on demand, though.

HONORABLE MENTIONS (HAVEN’T SEEN IT ALL):

Lupin III—Lupin is fun, but there’s just too much Lupin out there to pursue, some of it which may never arrive in the US.

Saban’s Adventures of the Little Mermaid—A long time ago, I picked up six VHS tapes for a dollar each. They each contained one episode of this show. I did not even know it was anime until I discovered its listing on anime News Network’s encyclopedia. Now I know there are más episodes out there, and I wish I could see them all, but this being an older anime, there’s a slim chance of the whole series getting released.
It’s a familiar tale, somewhat. A mermaid and a human prince fall in love. However, it does not end in the death of the mermaid and the prince falling for someone else. As far as I know—after all, I’ve only seen six episodes. In this version of the fairy tale, Prince Justin can sip a potion that allows him to breathe underwater for an hour, and likewise, puerto pequeño, marina can drink a potion that allows her to be human for an hour. In that way, they get to spend time with each other, but desperately buscar for a tablet that will allow puerto pequeño, marina to become human permanently. Do they find it? Do they marry and live happily ever after? I may never know.

Wedding melocotón (left off at volume 5)—I didn’t know how much longer this mostrar was going to continue, so I stopped. But I did enjoy it, in spite of all the demons. But they were funny demons, not really spooky demons. I left before the fourth girl in the team was introduced. I wasn’t looking adelante, hacia adelante to her very much.
