Devil's roar part 2: Futuristic brothers.
The squad monitors padded towards a huge rectangular computer screen. The monitor's job was to monitor the safety, and health of all Devil's roar squads. The screens were divided into eight bars. Each had eight circular segments, all seperated por a centimeter and glowing blue. Each one was the signal of a squad member... WHen one was empty and flashed red, that member was dead. ANything else, the member was live and ready. The status of the squads and batlle being fought, was on the parte superior, arriba left corner of the screen. ALso, the squad leader's name was displayed on the left of each segment. The monitors were never prepared for what they saw, o heard.
I was one of the squads on action... My worst descision. THe monitors switched on the screen... But jumped back at the sounds. "BLAM BLAM BLAM!!!" Gun fire. "AGGGHH!!" Static... "SLICE" "AGGGH!!!" más screaming and gun fire. Three blue blips disappeared. THree Devil's roars were dead. Another one. ANother. ANother. What the heck? THe battle diagnosis appeared on the parte superior, arriba left.

"What? tu mean it worked? I'm going to have a-" "Oh! Seth? What are tu doing here?" "I didn't know her name, o at least remember it so I called her... "Honey, Listen... I need tu to get to a prototype ship. I need tu to get out of the hospital, and to our transport..." "What? WHy?" I didn't know what compelled me to say this, but, "It's back... THEY'RE back..." "No... No no no... It can't be... You're scaring me Seth..." SHe obviously knew something I didn't.

A crackle came through my comm and made me jump. "SHockpoint! Jeezus... Hurry up and get your culo over here! I don't want your wife crying cause I left your damn body in the black zone!" I still didn't comprehend who this brown, and cream coloured lobo was, but I went along with it. "Listen to me Vic, I need to get to our hospital. I need to get to-" I stopped. I STILL didn't know her name. "My wife! I need to get to her!" "Calm your culo Seth, Nothing is going to happen to her! tu have my word... Now go!" "Right then..." I replied, and then static sounded the fact that the transmission was done. I warily, and cautiously proceeded on my way . I passed bloody squad remains, blasters, limbs, and wierd organisms that fermented when tu got within a meter's radius.

I immediately whipped my head up, and saw a Cobalt, o what was a cobalt, shambling past me. Although... It was almost as if something had changed it... Physically and mentally. Sort of because, it's legs were twisted, and even though it ran on two legs, it's whole parte superior, arriba body hung back, while it's two legs ran forwards... It's two arms had large blades coming from their paws, where a bolt implant usually was... Whatever happened to this, had to do with the creation of the cobalts. It was about eight meters away from me, when the aberration very quickly, shambled por me. The light from it's shoulder flashlight flashed about in the darkness of the night, as it's whole parte superior, arriba half wobbled about, backwards, as it ran... And finally, it disappeared behind a huge rocky boulder.
I cautiously walked around the rocky outcrop when I noticed a flashlight right por one of the cobalt's mine entrance. It was a cobalt's bloody body, and clenched between it's paws, was a wrist flamethrower. Obviously, whatever these things were, they didn't like cobalts either. I waved my paw infront of the door. A holographic, "Stand by" appeared, as the bolts in the metal door twisted, opening the bloody soaked door. I grabbed the wrist flamethrower, and attached it to my right wrist... THe one not in use. The door opened. I walked in but immediately walked out, when I saw one of the creatures walking by. I watched almost curiously, as the creature had sunken it's claws into a dead cobalt corpse, and was dragging it, towards a different spot... What was that all about? I slowly walked forward. I peaked around the corner, but jumped, back, as well as my corazón missed a beat, when one of the creatures jumped out from around the corner. THe lights from the mines let me have a proper look at this abomination. This particular one, had all flesh, and no armour surrounding it's deformed body.
It's bottom jaw had been ripped off, leaving just 5 elongated, and bloody parte superior, arriba teeth on the parte superior, arriba jaw. It got up on it's two hind legs, it's two bone appendages slowly reaching towards me. It's head,was twisted to the side, slightly, was if it was twitching really badly. it jumped at me, claws first. I jumped back, and got up on my hind legs. The bolts twisted, as I did so, and then I unsheathed my flamethrower. I doused the abomination. It flailed it's bone blades about, and then succumbed to the flames. Then, a howl was heard, and the other one, still armour toting, came rushing at me. It's deformed face tured into a permanent grimace. Something disturbed me... THese ones, not wearing masks all had a small hole in their heads. I unsheathed my blaster, and took a shot at the creature's head. It's head flew clean off, sending blood in it's wake, and the creature fell back dead.
I walked closer, my blaster still raised watching for any signs of creatures, and then I lowered my weapon to examine the head. I ignored it's ugly features, and looked at it's forehead. It had a hole about 5 centimeters in circumfrence. I shook my head at my discovery and then continued. I walked over the two bodies, and opened another door, leading to the central mine. I looked around, curiously, trying to see anything of interest, when I heard a familiar voice. "Shockpoint! Agh... I tried to lock them out, but they are coming in through the fucking vents..." I knew this voice. THis was Price, one of the remaining Devil's roars. But... IF he locked them out, that meant... "Bloody hell Price, tu locked the doors!?" I exclaimed. "You better get up here... My legs cut... Bad..." He complained. I rolled my eyes as I proceeded up stairs. I heard a shriek. "No... NO.. No-" I heard gargling. I heard splats... Then, I heard a familiar garble. Just like that twitchy creature I saw at the entrance of the mine. "BLEH!" I heard. I looked to the right of myself, and right behind me, was one of those twitchy abberations. It had the face of price... But, right in it's forehead, poked through it's helmet, was a hole. I didn't have time to think about it. My own battle brother was hunting me down. What was happening to the lobos of Jasper?
