How do tu imagine he could have avoided it? Not answer the Dark Lord's summons? He didn't have a choice. He couldn't have avoided it. Remember, please, that he was still playing his role, he had to placate the Dark Lord any way possible, he still had to give Harry the information needed to do what he had to do. It's horrific, I know, but clearly Severus didn't count on one thing, and I know that a lot of fans don't get it...one key detail, but it's so simple, it's easy to miss. Severus didn't know about the plan behind the Elder Wand. In the book, he doesn't have a clue about it until Voldemort tells him basically "while tu live, I am not the Master of the Wand". If Severus had known, if he had suspected, even for a moment, then yes, he could have taken steps to protect himself. hace más de un año
