Therefore Crash and Crashing the Mode are slang for Good and Mode means Bad.

To "Crash the Mode" is good, unless tu are of the Reach. For them crashing the mode is bad. The mode is the setting that controls the scarabs, and people of the future have used crashing the mode as something good. "Crash" is the future equivalent of "Cool."
