What kind of flor is Flowey based on?

Does anyone know? If he is based on a specific flower, that is. Asriel and Chara accidentally poisoned Asgore with buttercups, but... C'mon, Flowey is way to big to be a buttercup. Plus, he has a big white middle for his face, and no leaves.
