Chapter Twelve: Small Rooms Makes for No Escapes
Their headquarters was nothing más then a room with monitors everywhere. They had enough in the budget to get a bigger el espacio and tons más gadgets, they just chose not to. Some of the monitors showed different vistas of the outside building. One monitor was mostrando a desert somewhere in Africa. It is odd how they got one out there and why they have he out there. I didn't ask questions. I wanted to appear as if I knew everything about everything in the room. Marlo wasn't going to get the best of me.
Darrell stayed por my side as Marlo, Arnold, and Courtney helped Raven to relax on one of the cushiony chairs. She had bags under eyes and she was obviously weak. We tried getting her to talk but it was no use. She had set her sights in remaining silent and Courtney wasn't really helpful when she made comentarios about our questioning techniques.
I was getting use to the warmth of Darrell's body. It seemed that he was always near me, protecting me. I just couldn't shake the feeling that he wasn't what he told me he was. He seems like an innocent guy but really, who is he. He never explained how he knew my father personally o what he does for a living. I tried shaking the feeling but I knew he was holding something back from me. I intended on finding out all of his secrets.
"Listen," dicho Arnold. "Marlo and I have been called to attend to some government business. We both know at tu would try to escape so that is why I took the liberty in putting a tracking device in Ms. Millan's leg. If she steps outside of these doors the tracking device will explore this killing her."
"I know tu wouldn't want the death of your friend," concluded Marlo.
"How could tu do that?" I questioned because I just couldn't fathom them doing such a thing, well, maybe Marlo but Arnold, no.
"It was actually quite easy," dicho Marlo.
"Anyways, we shall be back an día o two but until them, sit tight." Arnold and Marlo walked out the door, leaving us to pondered our siguiente step.
"I knew we shouldn't have left," dicho Courtney after an hora of silence. "Leaving the protective boundaries of Brookhaven Prep was a bad idea from the start. I knew we shouldn't have left but Raven was so desperate for adventure. I didn't want to be left at the prep school because the teachers would of course pregunta me about your whereabouts. That would be an awkward conversation. I have experienced enough of those to see one coming. I'm kinda surprised hat I haven't had one in a while usually things get awkward when I start talking."
"Courtney," I said. "Let's hold off on that for a moment. We really need to plan our siguiente strategy. I want to leave but I don't think we can leave Raven."
"We could try to find the tracking device ourselves," suggested Darrell.
"We could but they took the only tools and we can't just go picking around Raven's leg. She would feel the pain."
"Let's just do what they say and not go anywhere," suggest Courtney. "That sounds like our only option anyways."
"It might be our only option but their our tons of loophole that we haven't already considered." That was something my dad always dicho in a sticky situation. I miss him más then ever. He would know what to do. "What are options we haven't considered?"
"Going through the air vent on the ceiling. It must lead to a way out but we have no way of getting up there. Besides, I am extremely sleepy and we do need our rest. The sun will be coming up in a bit and we have been driving for hours. We all could use the rest," Courtney said. She cuddled into a ball in one of the chairs and laid her head down to rest.
"I am not going to give up that easily," I dicho once I believed Courtney was actually in deep sleep.
"She's right," dicho Darrell. "There is nothing we can do at this point."
"I know but," I trailed off. Darrell was getting awfully close. Those dashing lips were getting very close to me.
"Don't do anything tu wouldn't want me to see," mumbled Courtney as she shifted in her seat. A smile appeared on my lips.

One day, a girl was walking through a forest. Her name was Rachel, and she was looking for a friend. Her and her friend, Misty, were camping, but then Misty disappeared. She then saw a dim white light. She walked towards it and saw a face, a body, arms, and legs. It was wearing a white dress. tu know, when she thought about it, it looked a bit like... "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
