Chapter Six
It was exactly what Dakota feared. The figure now huddled in a conner weeping it's eyes out. It was Reese but this side of Reese was something Dakota had never seen before. It was bizarre and horrifying. Reese didn't even notice Dakota staring at her through the tiny window on the door. Reese was probably so insane that she probably did kill Abby whether she knew it o not. Dakota couldn't process her friend o what she thought was her friend. The girl inside of that room was a monster, a trembling, distraught, monster.
"You are not suppose to be back here miss," dicho a stern man. He had two of his buddies with him. They gripped Dakota"s shoulders and dragged her back to the front desk. She went fighting but in the end they eventually threw her out the door.
It was very early in the morning when Mr. Bulks students trudged the last few steps to reach the campground which was basically just trees and dirt. Hazel, Reese, Dakota, and Gwendolyn were the first ones to see the wide open terrain. It was a magnificent scene but all four saw it as a patch of dirt. Reese and Dakota would be partners while Gwendolyn and Hazel are partners o at least that is what Mr. Bulks told them.
"Where are we going to sleep?" asked Reese.
"In those tents with your partner. It first tu must pitch your tent." He handed everyone a bag and instructions on how to pitch tents.
"Dakota, tu can pitch the tent. I will be over here but don't worry I won't be trying to find out your secrets." Reese knew. Dakota uneasily read the instructions and did it step por step while the piercing eyes of Reese glared at her.
Gwendolyn and Hazel had worked out a system. Gwendolyn would work n the tent if Hazel read the instructions. "I am s sorry for your lost Gwen," Hazel dicho in between the instructions.
"Don't play games with me," she whispered.
"What are tu talking about?" Hazel asked confused.
"It is your fault that she isn't here in the first place so don't pretend that tu had nothing to do with her death. I know tu didn't kill her and I also know that tu know the real killer. I am going to find the real killer nd give them a piece for mind." Hazel was stunned for many reason. Gwendolyn had no proof o right to assume that she was the one to blame. She had to tell herself that Gwen was only do this because she was mourning the lost of her sister.
It was early afternoon when the first assignment was announced. Everyone had to gather around a campfire while Mr. Bulks explained what they would be doing. "Listen up students," he commanded. "Your firs assignment is to locate the following things on your map. The first person to come back with all of their items wins first dibs on the showers and gets some chicken while everyone else eats pescado that I caught." He passed out the lista of items to everyone around the campfire. "Everyone has a different checklist so everyone should not be following others. Use your compass and please try not to get lost."
Everyone dashed off in different directions. Hazel lingered behind for a while. She was still hurt por the comentario that Gwendolyn made. Did people believe that she would kill her best friend? She shook the feeling off and went after the first item on her checklist.
Dakota had already completed the first five items and now all she had to find where the siguiente ten when Reese slammed into her. She had been running and didn't look where she was going when she hit Dakota. "I am so sorry. I was just trying to find seem lichen. por the way what the heck is lichen?"
Dakota kneeled to the group and pulled some light blue and green covering off if a árbol limb. "This is lichen," she retorted.
"Thanks maybe siguiente time I should come to tu when I want something and not go behind your back like someone I know did," Reese muttered. She dashed off in the opposite direction leaving a stun Dakota left behind.
Gwendolyn was almost done when she spotted her. The killer. The girl that killed her sister. The real one. Gwendolyn eyed the killer clearly satisfied. She was right. This is the real killer. The one that killed her sister. "I knew it was tu all along. Now that I know who tu are I am going to turn tu in to the police." She searched her bag for her phone but couldn't find it.
"Looking for this?" The killer held up Gwen's new LG phone and dangled it in front of her face. "Yes tu was right. It was me all along but right now I doubt tu will be able to call anyone anymore." With that the killer stabbed poor Gwendolyn as she made her last ear splitting scream. The killer dropped the cuchillo and ran off into the forest leaving behind a big mess. Reese had seen everything.
There was gray grief around the campfire when the assignment was over. The winner was Shelly Macon but no one cared o dicho she cheated. The death of Gwendolyn was too much to oso, oso de especially since it was the sister of Abigail. No one touched their comida bit even Shelly. Reese was just about to go up to Mr. Bulk and tell him who she saw murder Gwendolyn when she noticed Dakota talking to him,
Reese knew that Dakota had seen her in the medical center was probably jumping to conclusions. Mr. Bulk glanced Reese's way and motioned for her to come towards him. It was a trap. Three policemen hand cuffed her hands together and dragged her. "Wait, whoa, wait!" she screamed. "I didn't do it! It was not me! I know who killed Gwendolyn and I know who killed Abigail! It was not me!" she begged. It was no use. They had already lugged her off the campsite and into the police car. Everyone watched her be taken away.
Dakota was disturbed por the last part that Reese had said. She dicho that she knew who actually killed them. Then again she could just be saying that just to get out of those handcuffs. Hazel came over and laid a comforted arm around Dakota's shoulders. "You did the right thing." she whispered. It sure didn't feel like it.

Well, this is a song I wrote.
I've heard it wrong
There's been a mistake
There was a time when I won and I knew it
We will go on and on and on and on
There will be no más mistakes
For the future
We will fight through it all without complaint
We are the winners, my friend
And we'll fight through it all in the end
There's no time to lose it
Cuz we are the winners
Well, I know that it's been a great day
We've done it all
We've been the best we can be and tu know it
We are the winners, my friend.
I've heard it wrong
There's been a mistake
There was a time when I won and I knew it
We will go on and on and on and on
