the movie has this great (sofia coppola) visual ways that gives something the book can't and the book (which i have read again and again) has a great literary styl and way about it that is just great...so i have to say both, this is one of the ones were the book and the movie are both great (in there own right)

i saw the tv version, and the tv version of movies are never as good as the original because stuff is taken out. But it was still a good movie.

The book is simply amazing....anyone who loves the movie MUST read the book! The movie is great too, usually I don't enjoy movies made from books that I love, because they never get it quite right - except in this case. Sofia Coppola does a perfect job of translating from book to film. The film totally captures the spirit and haunting quality of the original literary work.

I LIKD THE BOOK BTTR..since i havent watched the movie!!

i am absolutely in love with the book. while the movie gives you a taste of what happened, the book puts you inside their community, giving you every last detail and spreading the obsession with the purpose of their suicide. the movie was pretty good, but it couldnt capture the message of the book on the whole or give the same experience as the book.

I can't judge on the book as i've never read it but i saw the film today and thought it was really good! I'm gonna try and read the book soon;

Saw the movie for the first time earlier this year and loved it! I'm halfway through the book now and it's just as good!

Both are awesome.
