“Run in, come out. Run in, come out...” Elena kept whispering it to herself. That was the most basic way of laying out the complex plan that Bonnie had devised. For as devious as Damon was, he didn’t have a good head for detailed forethought. Someone that Elena could easily beat at chess. That’s why they called Bonnie in.
Problem 1: Katherine wanted everything that Elena had.
Problem 2: Elena had Damon and still a piece of Stefan’s heart.
Problem 3: Katherine had many friends in high AND low places.
Problem 4: Elena had exactly 6 friends. 4 humans (Jenna, Jeremy, Rick and Caroline), 1 witch (Bonnie) and 1 vampire (Damon).
And even with the skill at which Elena could check mate an opponent in a strategic board game, she didn’t know how to make 6 pons turn into a fighting strength great enough to defeat a queen like Katherine. por the time Elena o anyone else on the white team made one move, black Katherine could skitter across the board and kill any piece she wanted without much effort at all.
Enter plan A. Bonnie would respell the tomb in way that was almost too beautifully woven. The entrance was just one step. Once Elena lured them in, she still had to get out so Bonnie had set up a maze. Even Damon had to thump back in his chair when looking at the picture Bonnie had drawn to explain it.
There were a series of grids in the maze o sections in the tomb rather. Bonnie could spell them to “displace” a human but do nothing to a vampire. This meant that while Katherine and Stefan had speed, Elena had what could only be called teleportation. So, if Elena entered grid one, she would come out in grid 4. 4 connected to 7, 7 to 2 and so on. It was a series of shifts that even a vampire couldn’t figure out o catch up with in time to get Elena before she came back out of the tomb door.
Thinking about it made her feel like a frog that took a zig zag pattern, hopping from one lily pad to the siguiente while the other little tad poles had to swim in a straight line, never being one with the frog. Like a game of wack-a-mole that Bonnie had devised to a science.
To simplify: All Elena had to do was run and keep running o “Run in, come out. Run in, come out.” as she kept whispering to herself. No one but Bonnie need know how the maze worked. As long as Elena just ran her culo off till she was out the tomb door, all would be fine.
While impressed, Damon was very worried.
“Are tu sure this is the only way? Couldn’t we lure them in with something else?” He asked, brow creasing in a concerned frown that would never come age his face.
“Look, Elena’s what they’ll go for most at this point. Nothing else is as important. Everything other than is secondary and we can’t get their attention on something of lesser value while the pot of oro is sitting right here.”
The female Gilbert, hearing the on going conversations just resorted to a faux fascination with her cuticles and the simple phrase whispered to herself. She had tried to keep up with Bonnie’s explanation of the plan but when the witch started using phrases like “lining up the grids to make linear plane jumps in a non-linear physical layout” the lines blurred and Elena took from it only what she needed to know. Not like her but most of her actions lately weren’t.
*Will I ever be the same as I was?*
As if lectura her concern, Damon turned to her and grasped her hand, “I promise you’ll be alright. Just do this one thing and we’ll take care of the rest.”
Bonnie’s eyes where on the couple’s joined digits. She still hadn’t gotten use to them being together. Stefan being evil was a lot to golondrina as well, not to mention a super calm Caroline dado what she was assigned to do.
Jenna on the other hand was pacing in the cocina freaking out as jeremy stood leaning against the fridge, eyes fixed on an invisible point in a replicated pose from another in the room. Alaric, the brooding trendsetter had made sure to close all windows and turn on any device that would white noise out all the conversation before taking up his staring position at the sink. All had a lot of their mind.

TWO DAYS LATER...
“You’ll never get Elena now. She’s probably already-”
“Shut up Caroline!” Jenna yelled then had to struggle for the siguiente gasp of breath.     Katherine had Caroline por the throat and Stefan was trained on Jenna.
“Your bravery won’t get tu anywhere, Jenna.” Katherine dicho in an unwarranted tone of familiarity.
Jenna then looked at Stefan. “What are tu doing this for? I thought tu loved her? No matter what happens with two people in amor they never get back that piece of their heart. There’s something still in there for her and tu know it.” For a división, split segundo Stefan’s eyes began to soften but Katherine’s evil giggle fortified the wall.
“A cold body always spreads the warmth to other places. Elena’s death will fix everything.” Katherine’s smirk turned into a glare at Caroline. “Now, where is she?”
    Caroline’s lips pressed tightly together.
“Fine. Stefan, kill her.” Stefan was half way to Jenna’s throat when Caroline caved.
    “Wait! Wait! I’ll tell you...”

Jenna and Caroline were drug along through the woods until they came upon a hidden vantage point along side the two vampires. “Keep your mouth shut” Katherine whispered to Caroline.” There were voices that carried through the trees. Familiar voices that Katherine was now honed in on.
“Okay, Elena, Bonnie spelled it so that once tu go in, you’ll be in there for 2 days while we take care of Katherine and Stefan. It’s only good for 48 hours and there is about 10 minutos till it goes up.” Alaric explained. “Any questions?”
“Yeah, Damon can’t get to me once it’s sealed right?”
    “Right.”
“And after the 2 days we can’t even trap vampiros in there?” Elena asked.
“I only have enough power for this one thing. trapping vampiros in there again is out of the question. Keeping tu in there until the everything is done is the only way to keep tu safe.” Bonnie answered.
buried in the trees Katherine looked to Stefan. They were keeping their captives quiet with clamped hands and had been listening intently themselves.
“I say we skip ahead a few steps, go in after her and take a nice long 2 days to torture and kill that little wanna-be. What do tu think, dear Stefan?”
“Sounds good.” His now common evil grin graced his features and his hand accidentally loosed just enough. “ELENA! GET INSIDE!” Jenna yelled.
Katherine rolled her eyes and tossed Caroline aside. There wasn’t much point in hiding now. Stefan did the same and they both ran into the fray.
Jeremy took his stance with Alaric, Damon and Bonnie while Elena ran into the opening. “Guard it till the spell takes hold!” Alaric shouted.
The humans shot out as many air compressed stakes as they could while Bonnie lowered her head in an effort to throw the attackers off mentally. Damon went full on fangs and all. Katherine dogged a stake shot out from Jeremy and just missed him as she flung it back. Stefan, now on human blood was beating his brother to a pulp and Alaric’s assaults were being flicked away as if coming from an ant.
It ended almost faster than it began with Bonnie on the ground with a bloody noise yet faring much better than the others.
Katherine and Stefan strolled right into the tomb and the others looked at one another in the accomplishment of their little skit. The first part of the plan complete.
*Come on, Elena, get outta there, girl* Bonnie prayed.

*****confused? That’s okay. It will be cleared up in part 10... a little*****
Damon wished he would stay unconscious until he died, so he wouldn’t have to feel anything anymore. Part of him wondered why he didn’t just switch off his humanity, so he wouldn’t feel any pain. But if he wouldn’t feel the pain, neither would he feel the joy he felt when he thought about Elena.
Elena. Damon hoped she would never hear that message on her voicemail. He hoped Stefan would be decent enough to erase that message.
Stefan. Damon knew his brother hated him, but this much? Then why did he sacrifice himself to save his life? Why did he registrarse Klaus to get the cure? And where was...

Damon tried to open his eyes, but the vervain burned too painful. Now he had lost his sight he had to count on his hearing. And Bonnie gladly took advantage of that. She slowly step around Damon, waiting a few segundos after each step.
“What are tu doing?” Damon asked anxious.
But Bonnie didn’t answer.
She held a horn in her hands and held it right siguiente to Damon’s ear.
“What are tu doing?” Damon repeated. He tried to feel where Bonnie was with his free hand.
Bonnie grabbed his hand and turned it on his back, until she felt it break. While Damon cried she pressed the horn, which drowned his voice.
Run, that’s all he could think about. He had to run before she would catch up with him. And as he ran, he felt the aching coming back. His back started burning again, his head bounced and with every step he took it was as if thousand needles stung in his feet. But he had to keep running, for he had to stay ahead of her.
A few yards further he heard two voices argue. He recognized the voices. He wouldn’t count on the male one, but the girl would listen to him, she would understand, help him.
“Elena, wait!” Stefan yelled. After his proposal she had jumped out of the car and ran away.
“I...

Jeremy’s eyes bulged as he stared at Damon like he had betrayed him. Damon let go of the destornillador and fixated his eyes on the blood.
“What?” he dicho confused. He looked at his hands, which were covered in blood and he crawled backwards.
Upstairs Alaric was finally liberated from the invisible force and he raced downstairs to the kitchen. His face went pale when he saw Jeremy lying on the ground, bathing in blood. He saw Damon, sitting in a corner, his expression shocked and confused.
“What have tu done?!” Alaric yelled, paying no attention to Damon’s wounds. He ran to Jeremy,...

It’s just a party, Damon had to tell himself when he knocked the Gilbert’s house door. However, it was Alaric who opened it.
“You’re looking for Elena?” he asked frowning.
Damon smirked. “No, Ricky, I was hoping tu could do me the honor of being my fecha tonight” he dicho sarcastic.
“Sorry, Damon, you’re too old” Alaric joked back. Then he was serious again. “Ehm, Elena left five minutos ago”
“She did?” Damon asked confused.
“Yeah” Alaric said. “Hey, why don’t tu just get inside, pour yourself a drink, then I’ll change clothes and go with you. Jeremy can come...

Jeremy was standing in front of Bonnies house. Caroline had told him about the party tonight and he planned on offering to escort Bonnie to it. Part of him dicho ‘Screw her, dude. She dumped tu to hook up with Damon Salvatore, the dick that killed you’, but another, much louder part said: ‘You still amor her and despite what she’s done tu want to give her another chance. She would do the same for you’
But after knocking several times he understood his ex wasn’t home. He considered going back home, then figured it wouldn’t hurt if he just waited inside. And so he opened the door...

Damon got up and pulled Elena up. He brought her to edge of the roof where he looked down. He looked back at Elena. “Do tu trust me?” he asked, reaching out his hand. This time Elena didn’t hesitate. “Of course I trust you” She lay her hand in his and Damon lifted her in his arms. He stepped on the edge and jumped. They landed soft on the ground and after holding Elena in his arms a few segundos he put her down. Elena stared at his lips as if she had to restrain herself from besar them.
Then everything happened really fast. Damon gasped and his eyes bulged. Someone grabbed Elena’s...

Night came in and stars enlightened the scene Damon and Elena were in. Damon fed Elena his last fry. Elena bit off half of it, took the rest and fed it Damon. Then they both lay down on the ground.
“I think I could stay here forever” Elena sighed.
“I hear you” Damon agreed.
“You know this place, don’t you? tu knew exactly where to go” Elena said.
“I had a job here” Damon said.
Elena’s eyes bulged. “You used to work?” she exclaimed.
“Well, actually Stefan had the job” Damon clarified. “I was there just to annoy him”
“Damon?” Elena asked.
“Mm?” Damon said.
“What’s...

Katherine was sitting on Caroline’s bed, a blood bag in her hand. Her stomach was healed and she was wearing one of Caroline’s tops. When she had finished the bag she gave it back to Caroline.
“Thank you” she said, though it took her quite some effort. They heard a car park. “I think your mother’s home”
Liz had been working really late. Caroline walked to the window and shoved the curtains. “No, it’s not mom” she rotated her head to the bed. “It’s Matt”
Katherine nodded and got up. “Yeah, I need to go inicial anyway”
“No, tu can stay” Caroline said. “I’ll just...

The Salvatore Boarding House
Stefan was sitting in the sofá between two young women.
“You want to hear a secret?”
The women stared at him as if he was a god and they nodded.
“I’m actually not supposed to be here” Stefan said. “I’m supposed to go find my girlfriend who’s hooking up with my brother. But truth is, I’m emotionally too damaged to function right now. I have to recharge first”
He looked from one girl to the other. “So, what’s the deal with tu two? You’re some hot lesbian couple?”
“No, we’re friends” the woman on Stefan’s right side said.
“Hmm” Stefan...

Carol Lockwood walked into Tyler’s room, who was sitting on his bed, his iPod in his ears. She walked to the cama and threw a collection of photographs on it. Tyler put out his earphones and looked at the photographs. “What is this?” he asked, pretending to be dumb.
“I found this in our mail. There was a note with it. ‘Dear Mrs. Lockwood, you’re son’s a werewolf. Have a nice day’” Carol said. “Who is this person, Tyler?”
Tyler shrugged, actuación careless, but doing his best to avoid his mother’s eyes. “Just some dude who needs to get laid really soon”
“These are pictures...

Damon and Elena were driving into the night.
“Where we going?” Elena asked curious. His eyes kept on the road Damon replied: “Remember when I took tu to Georgia?”
Elena gasped. “We’re going to Bree’s Bar?” she asked excited.
“No” Damon said. “Bree’s Bar is gone. But there’s another place I’d like to take you”
He drove further for another twenty minutes. Then he parked the car on a parking lot of a restaurant. A very closed restaurant.
“Damon, what are we doing here?” Elena asked confused.
“Are tu hungry?” Damon asked with a smirk.
“Yes” Elena said....

Stefan ran into the hospital, Katherine in his arms. “Somebody help me! My girlfriend’s sick”
A doctor came running, while a nurse followed him with a stretcher. Stefan lay her down on it. “What happened?” the doctor said, while he rode the stretcher to an examination room. “She OD’d on some pills” “Do tu know what pills? What kind?” the doctor continued. “Sleeping pills” Stefan hastily said. “I didn’t catch the name, though” He looked at the doctor. “She’ll be okay, right?”
“We’ll empty her stomach, but it’s important for us to know what pills she...

7.40 pm
Katherine watched Elena jumping into Damon’s car and Damon driving away. She knew now was her turn and an evil grin appeared on her face. She stuck her hand in her pocket and conjured a box named Sonata, which she had swiped from Jeremy.
“Elena got what?”
Stefan and Katherine turned around. Jeremy was standing in the doorway of the kitchen.
“Jeremy, please let me explain. But not here. Let’s go to the cocina where we can talk in private” Stefan dicho and he went into the kitchen, Jeremy following him. Katherine, however, stayed behind. While Stefan filled Jeremy in on what...

Elena and Bonnie were sitting outside the Grill, both having a lemonade, when both their phones rang.
“Bonnie” Bonnie said.
“Hello, Elena speaking” Elena said, trying not to give away anything and hoping Bonnie would be too caught up in her own conversation.
“It’s time” Damon said. “Meet me at the Boarding House. I’ll be in the car” He ended the conversation.
And so did Bonnie. “Elena, I’m so sorry, but I have to go” she apologized.
“Oh?” Elena dicho sheepish.
“Yeah, I’m having a fecha tonight” Bonnie blushed.
“Really? That’s great! Who’s the lucky one?” Elena fired her curiosity.
“Ehm, I rather not say. At least not until it’s official” Bonnie said.
“Of course, I get it” Elena said. Bonnie put some money on the table. “See tu tomorrow?”
“Yeah, tell me all that happened” Elena waved as Bonnie walked away. The moment she was gone Elena jumped up and ran away as if she was being chased.
7pm.
Damon’s phone rang, while Katherine was standing siguiente to him, her hair straight. Bonnie had called Elena to go to The Grill to ‘have a drink’.
“Yes?” Damon dicho smooth.
“Damon?” Caroline asked.
“No, the pope” Damon sarcastically replied. Caroline sighed. “You’re sooo funny! Anyways, are tu busy now?”
“Ehm, depends, why?” Damon asked.
“I might have a little something in store for you” Caroline dicho mischievous.
“Oh oh, should I worry?” Damon asked. Caroline laughed. “No, not at all” she reassured him. “It involves my house, dinner, you, Elena…You get...

“Open the door now, Stefan! I need to talk to my sister!”
Stefan opened the door after Jeremy had banged it about twelve times.
“Alright, alright, don’t get all up tied” Stefan dicho as he opened the door, a blood bag in his hand. “Now, what brings tu here? Something about Elena, I assume?”
“I need to talk to her” Jeremy repeated. “And tu know why”
Stefan shrugged. “Why didn’t tu come here last night?”
“Because I knew Elena wasn’t here. I knew she was with Alaric and her friends, I didn’t want to make a scene” Jeremy explained.
“And tu were also chicken that...

Tyler logged in to read his email. He frowned when he saw the 65 unread messages. He clicked on the first one. “I know what tu are”
He clicked on the segundo one. “I know what tu are”
He clicked on the third one. “I know what your are’
All 65 mails held the same message. I know what tu are. Tyler clicked on the reply button. “Hey, dude, don’t tu have anything better to do in your spare time? Don’t tu have a girlfriend o boyfriend to annoy? Get a life, already”
He pressed send. It seemed like only a segundo had passed when he already received an answer.
“I know what tu are and I’m going to tell everybody”
“Suit yourself, moron” Tyler send and he shut the computer down.
Elena opened her eyes and sat up. One thing was certain. This was not her room. Neither was it Damon’s. A picture of her and Stefan told her this was Stefan’s room. She got up and regretted it the moment she stood on her feet. Her head bounced, everything was blurry and she got so dizzy she had to sit down again. And on parte superior, arriba of that her stomach was twisting around. Then she remembered the state she was in. This was just one of the symptoms…Wait, Caroline didn’t say anything about feeling nauseous.
“Hey, I cleaned your sheets” Damon dicho in the doorway. He noticed Elena’s pale face....

Kelsey’s body dropped on the floor and Damon appeared with her corazón in his hand.
“You killed her” Stefan said.
“You’re welcome” Damon said.
“You shouldn’t have done that” Stefan said. “I deserved to die”
“You’re welcome” Damon repeated now pissed. Stefan’s ingratitude annoyed him immense. His ripper mood didn’t appeal to Damon, not anymore. But neither did he have to go back to his holier than the pope days.
“You always do this. tu face a problem tu can’t handle and so tu eliminate the problem” Stefan said.
Damon lifted up the body and threw it over his...
