Ok, I just read an amazing sneak peek at Rick Riordan’s latest book.
Kane Chronicles Book 2: The trono Of Fire!
The release fecha is on May 3rd, 2011.
Guess what? I read something in USA Today (and no, I do not live in USA). It says that The Kane Chronicles is a trilogy! I expected it to be like a series!

Summary: Ever since the gods of Ancient Egypt were unleashed in the modern world, Carter Kane and his sister Sadie have been in trouble. Now, I don’t know much about Egyptian mythology (I’m planning to remedy that. I’m already planning to borrow a lot of libros about Egyptian civilizations from the library!), but I know that the Book of Ra is a book... about Ra. But that’s common sense to begin with. I might even be wrong. So I’m going to research about it.

I have no idea what the Book of Ra is (I didn’t research XD)
The closest thing I could come up with my own knowledge (which isn’t a lot) is The Book of Amun-Ra.

The Book of Amun Ra is one of the most famous history libros out there (yeah right).

The Book of Amun-Ra is a book (duh) made out of pure oro (what is it with Egyptians and gold?!). It contains all the secret incantations of the Old Kingdom (I think this is the kingdom before this pharaoh dude united both Egypts. I might be wrong. Research for yourself. I’m too lazy to) that could take life away from mortals.
To keep it safe, the ancient Egyptians kept the Book inside a statue. Something about a puzzle. I don’t know.

Now that the little artefact lesson is over, let’s talk about the book.
Anyone know what the trono of fuego is?
I keep having the image of a chair on fire.

Who cares about the trono of Fire. I don’t know what that is, and I doubt tu do too (unless tu did what I planned to do, but is too lazy to do).

Let’s talk about Jaz and Walt!

Jaz and Walt are one of the newest characters in the Kane Chronicles. They’re Carter and Sadie’s trainees. They’re the first ones to come to them.
Jaz (short for Jasmine. Don’t call her that unless tu want to get turned into a shrub) specializes in healing magic. Wow, I admire her, but I’m kinda más of a COMBAT MAGIC person. Combat magic, whooo!
She’s a cheerleader from Nashville. End of story.
Walt specializes in charm making. Like, making amulets and stuff. Meh, I don’t really care about amulets.
He’s 14, tall enough to play varsity forward, and muscular. The end.

7)    How will they get out of their current situation (that being inside a museum, and trying to steal *ahem* borrow an ancient artefact without magicians noticing. Oops, looks like they noticed)?
