I've been torn on this one. While I agree with everyone that Jensen Ackles is absolutely perfect for Jared, I don't think he is a realistic choice. He is very involved with his TV series, Supernatural, so there could be scheduling conflicts just like there was with the Victoria part in Twilight--and that wasn't even a big part in that movie. Because of this, I might have to say my pick is Chris Pine. He is definitely hot enough... haha.
I could see where tu put those together, but I thought Stephenie Meyer dicho Kyle was older than Ian, and Chris Hemsworth is (and looks) 26 years old while Chis Pine is 29. Hmm… I might still consider that pairing IF they darkened their hair for the film.
