Why was Johanna complaining about nightmares? What has she to feel bad about?

I know that she was only a baby when the tragedies happened with her parents but she could still be traumatized(it must be awful never knowing who your real parents are).She can never leave her room,Judge Turpin must threaten her about other men a whole lot,he also asked her to marry him(and cmon the man looks to be in his 60's and shes like 16),she feels trapped like a bird trapped in its cage,she got sent to an insane asylum(for commiting no crazy act whatsoever), and she must feel very lonely.And although she has been raised por a rich man,I dont believe she gets everything she wants.Johanna is an emotional girl not a stuck up rich gal.I also feel that she believes that her life is nothing but a nightmare because she finds it difficult to trust anyone,not knowing if someone will truely amor her o just use her for their liking.These are just reasons that I think make the most sense.

She's not a spoiled little rich girl. Johanna is plaqued por being orphaned por both her parents (sweeney dying and lucy taking the arsenic) and being put in the care of a pervert that doesn't let her leave her room, watches her dress, and completely demeans her.

We never really see what kind of abuse Turpin piles on her while she's living there. Who's to say he stopped at locking her in the room and watching her dress? I wouldn't be surprised if he did to Johanna what he did to Lucy, and she couldn't defend herself at all against it happening again... and again... and again...
