The convicted robber who helped to end a campaign of terror against Steven Gerrard was paid £10,000 for his role, it was claimed yesterday.

Self-styled enforcer John Kinsella 'had a word' with gangster George Bromley junior after he allegedly threatened the England footballer in a row over a woman.

Kinsella, 43, absconded from lincoln Crown Court last week minutos before a jury found him guilty of a £60,000 robbery at a lorry park in Lincolnshire.

In his absence, he was sentenced to 13 years for the robbery and a año for dangerous driving during a police chase.
