As her war-time training continued, Tano participated in más battles, such as the destruction of the Separatist superweapon Malevolence, the rescue on the Tranquility, the raid on Nuvo Vindi's laboratory, the First Battle of Felucia, and the First Mission to Mustafar—on the latter, she helped foil a plot orchestrated por Darth Sidious himself. She also became one of the few Jedi to survive a duel with the droid General Grievous.
As the conflict raged on, she learned that its politics were not as black and white as she once thought and eventually entered into a relationship (and marriage) with Lux Bonteri, son of former Confederate senator Mina Bonteri.
