No way it is Dru. She constantly kept pining for Angelus, but could never get him, because he belonged to Darla so she turned William against his will, took his soul away and made him her toy till she got tired of playing and threw him away. Not to mention that even when she was in a relationship with Spike she still kept pining for Angelus.

And my main argument: Dru took his soul away. Buffy inspired him to fight it back.

I don't understand when people pick Buffy, she physically, psychologically, and sexually abused him. So out of Buffy and Drusilla I would pick Drusilla, but ultimately neither. I think he would be better with someone who would love him back and who would him with the respect/kindness he deserved. In all honesty I ship him with Willow.
