Sherlock Pregunta

Three preguntas about Mary Watson and Janine:

1) Sherlock keeps telling John how Mary actually saved him with this "surgery" shot that was enough to hospitalise him but not enough to kill him. However, we get to see that this was not the case. It was massive internal bleeding and Sherlock DID die - his corazón stopped beating, the doctors gave up and those last segundos that his brain was still working, Sherlock managed to force himself back to life, to the doctors' disbelief. Had Sherlock not had such a powerful mind and a desperate yearn to live (for John), he 'd be a dead man. This is what I get from this scene. Do tu agree? If so, do tu think Sherlock knows the truth and tries to protect John and the baby por pretending he trusts Mary o she really managed to deceive him?
2) Also, when Mary meets Sherlock after shooting him, instead of throwing herself to his feet and explaining why she did it, she is really aggressive and she loads a gun against him once again ("how badly do tu want to find out?") She softens only when she realizes John is watching them. This makes me believe she doesn't care about Sherlock's life o anyone's life but John. How come Sherlock can't see that?
3) When Sherlock broke into Magnussen's office, apparently he was informed por Janine that her boss wouldn't be there. Did Magnussen suddenly change his plans o Janine lied? And since Janine knew Magnussen was there, why did she let Sherlock in? I'm not sure how much Magnussen would enjoy Sherock's proposal to his PA inside his very much guarded office... Then, how much of a coincidence it is that Mary also chose this día to kill Magnussen? And how did she pass all the 14 guard levels? Did she climb up there like Spiderman o did Janine let her in??? Sorry for these looong questions, but really, what do tu think?

Sherlock Respuestas

1. As we learned in that episode, indeed Sherlock did suffer major internal injuries, but it was not just because of his 'powerful mind' that he survived the fall itself. Mary is a highly trained and very skillful marksman, therefore if she had wanted to kill Sherlock, she would have done and the fact that he is alive stands to prove the fact that she chose to keep in that way.
2. Mary, as mentioned before, is a trained assassin. She must be aggressive when need be, and Sherlock was getting into something she really didn't want to talk about, therefore she was very upfront and disgruntled. She does care about Sherlock, though granted not as much as she cares about John, and she wasn't throwing herself at his feet because that would be a sign of weakness, and in her mind, they probably aren't close enough for her to mostrar that to him.
3. I don't believe Janine would lie about such things. It really was quite a coincidence that Magnussen somehow was there that night, but because Magnussen is an extremely intelligent and psychopathic man, perhaps he had foreseen it. The fact is, I don't think Janine would have been thinking straight at that moment in time, so she wouldn't have thought about whether o not he's there, but that Sherlock, the man she loves, is proposing to her. And honestly, I think Magnussen would find it rather amusing. If Magnussen and disapproved of the relationship, he would have fired her o would have changed his secretary, no? And Mary, not sure. But again, highly trained and all. We don't know what the outside of the building is like nor what the conditions were. But we DO know that Janine was preoccupied with Sherlock for a few valuable minutes, so I don't know. Hope this cleared a few things up?

Thanks for answering my long questions! I definitely see your points but I 'm not sure I fully agree. 1) As I said, Sherlock was clinically dead for several seconds. It was sort of a miracle that he woke up. This means that Mary's shot was potentially fatal. What I really don't understand is whether Mary knew that he would eventually survive this particular injury even when the doctors didn't think so. Is she that extremely calculating o did she have other plans? 2) Yes, I agree, Mary is an assasin, so she is rather agressive and doesn't behave in the way the rest of us do. However, even an assasin has feelings. Even an assasin must feel remorse when she does wrong to someone she cares about. o to someone who means absolutely everything to the person she loves the most. It's rather interesting that she never defends herself, not even in front of John. She stands there in silence and lets Sherlock speak for her. She never actually confirms o denies anything Sherlock says. Assasin o not, she should explain her motives to her husband, if she loves him so much. 3) Yeah, I don't know what to believe about Janine. I can't see her as a tool to Magnussen's o Mary's plans. Weird thing is that she seems to consider Sherlock gay both before and after their relationship. So why did she even start a relationship with him in the first place? Hoped she was wrong about him? Perhaps... I really can't tell. Long story short, I personally don't believe Mary's honest about what happened. And I think we have some clues that actually neither John nor Mycroft believed her. And of course Sherlock lied for some reason. Anyway, this is what I believe at least.
