This is the Institute in Brooklyn. It is an old gothic cathedral that is run by the Lightwoods. The Lightwoods live in the Institute full time but others can live there if they are approved to by the Lightwoods. Only Shadowhunters can open the doors.

Xarptic went back to his room, put on a pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a black jacket with a grey fur trim on the collar.

Xarptic returned about 20 minutes later. He set down a plastic bag containing Vik's requests on the counter. His own food was in a group of brown paper bags in his other hand.

Alexa smiled. "Thanks for breakfast. 'Bout time I don't have to do all the cooking around here." She got a plate full of food, set it on the table then leaned out the door. "James! Bennitt! Vik made breakfast!"

Bennitt looked at Elain. "Wanna get some breakfast?"

James went into the kitchen.
