Severus's appearance changed in the whole series

In earlier films, his hair was shorter and covered más of his face and his face was whiter. Since HBP, his hair was much longer and fluffier and like women's hairstyle.-v- His eyeshow seemed to be darker. To me he seemed to look a bit different in each film.XD What do tu think?

I was just thinking about this! What always gets me is the difference between HBP hair and DH hair! HBP hair pretty much like the other wigs just longer. But the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 hair is so fluffy, wavy, and full! lol

There seems to be más "shadow" around his eyes (in DH) because the man is stressed and not sleeping. Considering the situation, I can't say that I blame him.

But besides that...people do change in appearance from año to year. ;)

Why wouldn't his appearance have changed? He aged (as did Alan). He moved around, got dressed and undressed, showered, worked, went through tremendous stresses, slept, and all those other day-to-day activities that slightly change the way tu look. It wouldn't make sense for him to look the exact same, every day, every movie, for eight cine (ten years).

Exactly ! In the lista of things he did, tu forgot one that could have had some impact - he may have had sex... oh gosh, sorry, I'm at it again ! But overall, I agree with tu 100%.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I got the impression, that he become más pale in the last movie (was that because of the mission he had to do??? has he known that he would die???).
In the first movie he had a 'good', nearly natural colour (I mean natural for Snape).
One the one hand I think that's because of the different colour they used in the whole cine (the first has a red/brown shade, the fifth has a green shade and the last one has a grey shade, especially when Snape is appearing).
I must tell tu how disappointed I was when I bought the dvd movies! They were not cheap, but they have an extraordinary bad quality :-( When I remember it, in cinema everything lookes different, mainly the colour in the movies. I hope WB dosen't skimp on the last DVD's! That would disappoint me again...

Well, the only thing that changed for me was his hair getting longer through the series. That and his appearance in age changing slightly. But the age shows because they've been filming these films for like 10 years now. One's appearance in age can change a lot in 10 years. But he still looks pretty damn young and good looking for a man in his early 60s.

The wigs are probably not the same ones, and perhaps they were trying to do it más realistically the segundo time around? One thing I hate though is the fact that they seriously overuse eyeliner on all characters in the last film, because it's so obvious that they are trying to make an impression of war/depression/fear o whatever, but instead they start to look like some goths/rockers the whole bunch of them. Really, really hate that.

Not only from año to year, as BlackHound said, but depending on the circumstances too. Besides, in photography, the amount of light + makeup art change things and they are made to change to reflect a certain feel, character state of mind and atmosphere. I noticed they used eyeliner on Severus, for example, to emphasize the darkness in him and reflect his exhaustion. (That can be seen in the closeup moments during his death scene.)

As a matter of fact, as the movie saga progresses, I amor his looks más and more. From HBP on, Severus was simply gorgeous.
