In keeping with misceláneo club, this is a misceláneo question...

Why do people associate zombies with the apocalypse?

I don't understand why the end of the world would cause the dead to rise from the grave, and I'm wondering whether there is a reason for this belief that I'm missing somehow. I'm afraid I don't really know a lot about zombies, but this has been bothering me for a while and I was hoping that someone could enlighten me? Thanks. :)

I don't feel like explaining right now
It had to do with the side affects of the radiation that nukes leave behind
There are enough nukes in the world to burn the entire surface of our planet twelve times over
America, Russia, china are the majority holders
The radiation has odd effects on living tissue, it distorts before it deteriorates and on occaison it would alter the electrical system in the body
After tu die your hair and nails continue to grow
From electrical impulses
Etc etc I'll explain in detail later

Ahh, okay. This actually does make sense. It reminds me of the movie [REC], except with radiation instead of viruses. Thank you. :)
