...why do people need to be Christian to answer this?
No offense, but I think as human beings we can all at least sympathize and imagine what your friend Evan and his family are going through. Some of us might even have personal experiences but aren't religious o have a different religion.

Even if I am an atheist, I can't imagine what it would be like to be in Evan's position. I do hope that he gets better and everything will be alright.

I am a rather cynical non-believer...However I really hope your friend fets better, and that the transplant works...When I was little, on elementary school, one of my good friends had leukemia, and even though I didn't really get it, I didn't even know it was cancer, I was worried and sad, and I freaked out when some years laters I understood he could have died...Now he is ok though, and I wish that everything goes well for tu as well and that your friend makes it.Idon't know about god and all that, but humans are strong, and they can fight it.Sometimes it is just beyond science, whether it is god o humans will to live, I don't know (I like to chose the second), nevertheless I support your cause, and you.
