For people that have/had braces...

well it depends in wether o not tu have sensitive teeth and things like that. I just got rid of my braces 6 months hace and now I only have to sleep with retainers in. The first few days it hurts to have braces in so I would stick to easy foods like sopa o something. For me it hurt getting my braces tightened and I lost a few bracets so watch what tu eat when tu have them. Other than that just listen to what the orthodontist tells tu and your braces shouldn't bother tu that much.

That's what I first thought too, but it actually doesn't really hurt until they put the actual braces on your teeth. tu know, the color thingys. They push down really hard, but other than that it's almost painless.

They don't hurt getting them on but the first week o so can be really painful after tu get them on...I had trouble eating for a while...I'm getting my braces off this October and other than that first week I had them on, they didn't bother me much :)

They hurt like the first week tu get them, then tu get used to them. But it hurts again when tu get them tightened.

getting them on doesnt hurt at all. its a minorly simple proccess. however your mouth might start to hurt after keeping it open for awhile. and about an hora o 2 after tu get them your gonna feel the braces working. itll hurt sooo bad, but if tu take Advil o Tylenol and eat some ice cream itll numb out the pain. and as for getting tightened its not that bad(: good luck

When I first got my braces,my teeth was hurting so bad that I really couldn't eat. Maybe because with me I had sensitive teeth. In my en general, general experience sometimes it does hurt when they are tightening the braces.
