Why is it that Arachnophobia is such a common phobia?

It's not. It's just that everyone who's a little bit afraid of spiders thinks they have arachnophobia. People say they have it when they don't. I'm afraid of spiders, but I'm not an arachnophobe. I don't go into a panic o flail wildly whenever I see a spider.

Because many people think that spiders are scary. To me, they're annoying.

Well, in my opinion they're scary because of the eight legs, especially when it comes to the big hairy ones!

Cuz they they think they can crawl around your house like bitches.

Cause tu can die from a araña bite depending on the spider.

I once got bitten from a spider. Had to get medicine. Not afraid of spiders though.

maybe it's because of their bad reputation por the media.people there are only a few spiders that a venemous(and yes the ones that ARE venemous are very dangerous)but the rest are not.yes they are creepy as hell but unless is a black widow o a brasilian wandering spider,or any of the others,you shouldn't be afraid
