mom siad "if tu eat cheese standing up...it gives tu gas" is that true???

i never used to like chesse it smell and it taste gross but mom ses it make tu gasy if tu eat it standing up is that true o is it just somthing that is meant to make tu have nightmares about chesse cause tu had it in your lunch at school and dosent want to get imbarresed if tu accidently fart during sport...
