There are 3 A's. The first A is Mona Vanderwaal. She found The Liars' secrets por lectura Alison's journal. During a physical confrontation with Spencer Hastings, Mona was pushed over the edge of a quarry and fell to her death. The segundo "A" was Alison DiLaurentis, who killed Courtney DiLaurentis, Jenna Cavanaugh, and Ian Thomas. She also attempted to kill the Liars and Spencer's sister, Melissa. Alison is presumed dead after being caught in a house fire. After accidentally killing a girl while on vacation in Jamaica, a new "A" appears, although their identity is currently unknown.

In the libros there have been two A's so far the first did it cause they were picked on por Ali and the girls and wanted some revenge. The segundo did it because they were slightly insane and believed that Ali and the girls ruined their life. The segundo A is so angry to the point where they try to kill the girls so tu can tell they are intense feelings.
