If you've read The Picture of Dorian Gray, please help me!

I'm making an essay about the book and I wanted to quote an excert, only I can't find it. It is the part he says that when you're asleep tu can live in a perfect and fantastic world, and as tu wake up and everything around tu starts taking form, tu have to go back to your routine and go on from where tu had stopped yesterday. He says it would be better if each día was independent of the other and we could just estrella over and do something new every day. If tu know the page o at least the chapter please tell me!
