This answer might be a bit late but she didn't want him to know because she thought that Ibrahim was a slave, of a lower status therefore and although Suleyman is friend of Ibrahim but the friendship might not extend to the Sultan accepting Ibrahim as a brother-in-law and accepting the fact that they have been having a love affair
