I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Air Apparent - CBS Watch!
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Michael Weatherly gets comfy in the La Première cabin aboard Air France’s A380. Jacket and polo shirt by Loro Piana. Watch by Uniform Wares. Bag by Mulberry. (Styling by Christopher Campbell.)
Michael Weatherly is a trouper. How else to describe a major network TV star who willingly takes a day from his summer hiatus to do an impromptu photo shoot aboard a parked airplane at LAX? Then again, this is not just any airplane. The A380 is the largest jetliner flying the skies today. It’s also the same plane that flew the
actor from Los Angeles to France for last issue’s cover shoot.
invited Weatherly back onboard this fantastic flying machine to show there is luxury in the friendly skies.
And no airline offers amazing flight experiences like Air France, which helped sponsor
’s photo shoots throughout France in 2014. The airline flew
’s Mayim Bialik and Weatherly into Paris for their shoots, treating each of them to the five-star service the airline is known for. But it was Weatherly, who by stroke of luck, got to fly on one of Air France’s nine A380s direct from Los Angeles to Paris.
Air France is the first European carrier to fly the A380, and has been doing so for the past four years, with direct routes into Paris from Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Johannesburg and Tokyo. It plans to add a direct route to San Francisco this summer. With 516 passenger seats, the planes are enormous, offering four different classes on two levels.
But its La Première class has passengers dreaming, specifically on top of mattresses and duvets that spread out from nine special seats into 6-foot flat beds. The seats also feature built-in massage functions, wide-screen TVs with on-demand entertainment, personal power outlets, individual storage closets and amenity kits that come with everything from body products by Biologique Recherche to Christian Lacroix pajamas and slippers. Passengers also get to feast on multicourse meals designed by Michelin-starred chefs such as Joël Robuchon and Guy Martin. Rare vintages from La Première’s wine cellar have been specially selected by sommelier Olivier Poussier, and each meal ends with decadent desserts from the Paris patisserie Lenôtre.
The luxe features aren’t limited to La Première. Each cabin on the A380 has its own walk-up bar—one reserved for La Première customers, two in the Business cabin and three smaller ones in Economy. Throughout the flight, the bars offer all A380 passengers the chance to meet up over a drink and a snack, which are available depending on the flight time.
Air France offers passengers in all cabins video-on-demand with more than 600 hours of viewing, language classes and about 100 full-length movies, as well as a jukebox of 300 CDs with around 3,000 songs. Air France is also the first airline in the world to equip each seat in the Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins with a USB socket.
With all of these luxe amenities, this is one of the few commercial flights that leaves passengers
