Tim Goodman..........

Every televisión critic I know is making both end-of-year and end-of-decade lists. Although we have many different takes on what happened this año and in the last 10, there does seem to be one consistency: We each make what amounts to an improbable list. This is mine.

Tim Roth, "Lie to Me," Fox. It's easy to give network programming - even the finest of it - less attention and affection in the face of so much impressive work on the cable side. But Roth's combination of smarts, aggression and compassion has not only elevated this procedural drama, but also proved he deserves the Emmy attention that has previously (and deservedly) gone to Hugh Laurie on "House."

One of my favorito! episodes this season, por far. Last weeks episode I nearly died trying to keep up with my notes, and this one was a breeze. The 'A case' was interesting (something seemingly rare this season) and as was the 'B case'.
In short; I was impressed.

We begin with a Christmasy scene, and a crowd of people. Now since I live in Canada, I have no idea what Black Friday is except a suicide mission. People die trying to get into a store, for crying out loud...just walk into one any other day. Why go when theres thousands of people?!?!
Back to the case. A child slips on some ice, and her...

The uneasy silence continued when all three entered the house.

Gillian went and perched on the edge of a chair whilst Emily stomped her way through to the kitchen.

Cal made a quick appraisal and decided to tackle the easier of the two problems por following his daughter through to the kitchen.

“Still sulking are we, daughter of mine?”

Emily was standing at the cocina sink getting a glass of water, she had her back to her father and made no effort to reply o turn to acknowledge Cal in any way.

“Cum on Em, whatsup? I was always under the impression that tu secretly wanted this to happen”...

Well it happened, zorro, fox has let go another great show.
As of May 10, 2011, zorro, fox announced they have canceled: Lie To Me, Human Target, and The Chicago Code.

In season one, LTM had 11.06 million views.
Then lost some in season two, dropping to 7.39 million views.
Sadly, it dropped some más for season three.
Falling down to only 5.84 views, there was no hope for LTM.
Still, every fan is devastated. And already people are hopping some other broadcasting televisión mostrar will buy LTM.

Also....
Human Targets Viewing:
Season one: Started with 10.12 million views, then the end of the first season, it had dropped to 8.23 million views.
Season two: Only made 6.59 million views.

Sorry, no ratings on The Chicago Code.

It's sad to see LTM leave, please someone! BUY LTM!

In the new TV Guide's vista previa of returning fall shows, the blurb for Lie to Me mentions that Cal will discover Emily has been drinking and sexually active, and there will be all kinds of issues with him having to deal with it.

Sounds to me like there will be ALOT to deal with this season.
Personally, I think that they should have left these kind of 'typical' teenage issues out of Emily's character and out of the SHOW...but I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.

I mean, Cal is a protective father, now just imagine him discovering this from his daughter...O.o

He's going to beat himelf up about it, and (Dare I say it) even HER if this goes to far. But THAT situation ever unfolding is FAR beyond Cal's character.

Think these are the moments Cal's talking about? (Tim Roth--Murder in the Heartland)

This was such an amazing episode, and I'm not just saying that, it really was. It shot right to my #1 favorito! episode, and that's because it was just fantastic.
This mostrar really works well when it has just one case like this, and it keeps tu hooked right until the end. That's how it should be. Just fantastic.

Since this is just a 1 case episode, I will only run over Cal's scenes/the ones in Afganistan because thats where the whole episode really took place.

Now we begin IN Afganistan, the war torn country, and a fantastic scene where 2 marines are captured. It's not fantastic that they were...
