After just missing out on the navidad No.1 slot to Rage Against The Machine last week, Joe McElderry clinches the New año No.1 with his debut single The Climb almost outselling the parte superior, arriba five, just two weeks after claiming The X Factor crown.

Joe sold 196,000 copies of his debut single this week against Rage Against The Machine who came in at No.2 selling 69,000 copies.

Joe dicho of getting the No.1, “I am so happy that the single is No.1! Thank tu so much to everyone that has supported me, this had been the best navidad ever and I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.”

Unfortunately, Joe did not reach navidad number one with his single 'The Climb'. He sold 450,000 copies in the first week of his release, whereas, because of the campaigns against Simon Cowell, Rage Against The Machine sold 500,000 copies with their single 'Killing In The Name'. This was announced last night on the radio.

It is the first año that an X Factor winner has not achieved first place on the navidad Chart.

It has been dicho that the campaign was started because people didn't like the control Simon Cowell had over the navidad Number One, they wanted something different. They chose...

I don't know if you've heard, but there's a huge campaign, especially on Facebook, to get Rage Against The Machine's single to navidad Number 1 in the UK, whihc will be the first time the X factor winner has not been navidad Number 1. Joe is only just starting out in his canto career, and I think it's absolutely dreadful that they are trying to stop Joe from being number 1.

We all need to keep on downloading his song to get him to number 1! tu can buy it from iTunes o Amazon, o buy it on the shops. There are only a few days left, and it will be a distaster for him if he doesn't get there.

Do it for Joe and his career everyone!!!
