And, uh, yeah, what cecilymsmith and everyone after her said. Just because he was the one to kill Dumbledore doesn't mean he's no longer on their side. Remember the argument overheard in the forest between Snape and Dumbledore? It begs the question, was Dumbledore arguing with Snape about the lengths he would have to go to in order to keep his cover or were they arguing because he suspected he was evil. As by my choice, you can guess which one I think.
Snape had plenty of times he could have killed Harry AND gotten away with it, or at least handed him over to good old Voldy and he didn't. Case in point: the duel after Dumbledore's death. Harry was too blinded by emotions to realize that Snape's taunts were actually words of advice, and also Snape simply blocked his attacks and didn't try to take him out. Why would he do that if he was evil?
a totally whacky idea that i had when i couldnt quite believe dumledore had gone was this: (u prob wont like it lol) is it possible that before dumbledore went travelling around with harry, that somehow severus and dumbledore switched forms with some highly complex unknown spell? and as a return of favors from dumbledore, snape gave his own life (yet looking like dumbledore) to let dumbledore live and help harry kill voldemort. (if u dont understand it/like it, dont worry, its practically all complete BS anyways)
well basically what im saying is no, like all most above me i agree and say snape is good enough to not be called evil
