Twilight: These libros should be forbidden to be read, but the temptation is too great for some. Also symbolises the beginning of poison to the minds of those that are too weak to resist the "OMG PREEETTY SPARKLEZZ!"

New Moon: The minds of those that fell to the lure of pretty characters are beginning to wilt. Also symbolises those that are sane and didn't succumb to the sparkles - they are wilting inside as they see the extent of the damage done por the book to innocents.

Eclipse: The sane people now fight back - they tear in half any fear of the libros (and the actual books, if they have them), and begin to rebel against the poison. Also symbolises the minds of those who are now totally seduced por its power (ahaha, LOTR quote. Not exact, but still) - their sanity is shredded into pieces and they become known as "the Twitards". AKA rabid [Twilight] fangirls o Twazis (those that are so blinded por sparkles that they turn violent).

Breaking Dawn: The sane ones begin openly resisting, moving in on the insane ones and thus beginning the fight for the freedom of the innocent (but sadly, currently insane) minds of those blinded por sparkles. Also symbolises the often pathetic attempts of the insane ones to fight back, defending the poison.

I am extremely sorry if I have plagiarized something anyone else has said. I absolutely amor some of the other respuestas to this question. I do know the true meanings of the covers, and I think that they are extremely cliched and unimaginative. The covers are also boring - they all follow the same colour scheme! Don't people get bored of seeing the same old black and red, used for every book?

Another thing regarding the BD cover: how can it symbolise "checkmate" when there isn't even a king piece present? That larger piece looks an awful lot like a queen to me, not a king.

The flor is wilting from being on the cover
People are getting so mad with the series that they are tearing the ribbion apart
The Chess Piece shows that this was all a game and they checkmated

I just thought this was funny. No offense to Twilight.

The Apple: Beware, what comes henceforth is evil. It is a temptation but one must resist for the sake of preserving one's intelligence.

The flower: Innocence ruined and stained por sparkling vampiros and brooding girls. The white tulipán, tulip symbolizes impressionable teenagers and the blood symbolizes the corruption of their mind.

The ribbon: Symbolizes the broken connection between mind and reality.

The chess piece: The authoress who is walking towards her bank, laughing all the way while serious intellectuals weep at the blasphemy that has occurred in the literary world.

(No offence intended but she did ask for a creative answer and I thought that I might as well make it amusing.)

Twilight: Apples have worms in them sometimes, worms make me vomit, incidentially, so does Twilight

New Moon: tulipán, tulip o whatever flor that is, well, it's covered in blood, and every time I read New Moon, por the end, so is my wrist

Eclipse: Ribbons go in hair, hair is on head, I'd rather hit myself over the head with this book than read it.

Breaking Dawn: I find chess as boring as watching césped, hierba die. And... OMG, I also find BREAKING DAWN as boring as watching césped, hierba die! Wait, even más boring. Ah would tu look at that, coincidences make me laugh.

that one's gonna be mad and probably not real:
a) the manzana, apple symbolises the amor (ahh that is so sickeningly cute xd) ed gives bella (that's why the manzana, apple is in one's hands, because if it was alone, i wouldn't say so ;))
b) the flor looks quite like bleeding, and bella's corazón is bleeding because eddy left her (he's a bastard)
c) the ribbon is torn because Bella can't choose between ed and jacob, so she's also torn (here i agree with Renesmee_XD).
d) the queen symbolises bella because now she's stronger, no one knows why indeed.

Breaking Dawn Chess - the background pawn is Bella as a weak human, whilst the queen is front is Bella as a vampire; this is mostrando her transformation

New Moon book cover -that has some parts of the flor petals,red symbolises her amor for edward but also the 'bleed' from her corazón when he left,also I couldn't help not notice,the position the flor has,staying inclined,lifeless.
Eclipse Book Cover--represents Bella's corazón torn por the choice she had to make,choosing between Edward o Jacob,as the torn ribbon stands for her torn into two.
Breaking Dawn book cover-the breaking dawn book cover stands for bella's transformation,the red small 'pionese' stands for bella,before the transformation,powerless,weak,and mortal
The white queen chess 'pionese' stands for her after the transformation,changing frastically as she has now a new appearance,personality,she is immortal and powerful.
The four Book Cover's represent the whole concept of twilight's plot...

1) The manzana, apple is because eddikins wants to NOM bella.
2) The red flor is a symbol of lust - bellas lust BOTH blokes.
3) Ribbon shows how small and easily manipulated her mind is as this is all freakboy 1 and 2 do in this book.
4) The chess game tell us eddie has won - he has conquered bella once and for all, and she will never be able to leave him now.

Um . . .

Eclipse: The torn ribbon represents Bella being torn in half por Jacob and Edward.

I wasn't really trying to be creative, just trying to guess what they REALLY mean. Except for New Moon, LOL. Was I right? I know I was right on the first one . . .

Chess piece - Bella is a pawn in Edward's game

Apple- for throwing at twilight lovers.
Flower- for giving to twilight enamorados with allergies.
Ribbon- for strangling twilight lovers.
Chess peice- for challenging twilight enamorados to magical chess which they will lose for sure.

Twilight- it's healthier to digest a poisoned manzana, apple than Smeyer's redundant words describing Eddiekin's hawtness.

New moon - it's better to read about a girl in wonderland painting white flores red than a girl in sparkle-land jumping off a cliff.

Eclipse - it's the very few threads that connect pieces of a badly woven plot.

Breaking dawn - it's that white queen autor who cashed on twihard pawns.

Obvious visual metaphors does not equal creativity :/
I'm not saying the Harry Potter covers are any más creative, personally I find them to be at an equal level.
