insightful it is. I mainly don't want it to happen because Rachel has such big dreams and Finn doesn't share those if he and Rachel fall apart in New York he'll have to go back to Ohio and listen to every ones 'I told you soes'. Finchel has been shoved in our faces since the first episode so I feel a bit programed to want it to happen, when I know it's bad for both parties, if Finchel continues, I might give up on the writers eniterly

Screw Finchel can I please marry this post?

I seriously couldn't agree more and it's unreal how thankful I am that I'm not the only one who see's it. I don't understand why everyone feels so bad for Rachel, really what does she have to lose from this marraige? nothing, Finn on the other hand has alot and I loath Rachel for allowing it to happen, he's a confused, naive boy who need's help why can't anyone (exept Kurt.) see that!? :(

@mangie1995 I know!! This is exactly what I've been talking about this whole time since the proposal storyline started and this person totally hit the hammer on the nail in this article! What Finchel fans just don't seem to grasp is that Rachel has nothing to lose from this marriage BUT Finn has EVERYTHING to lose!!! Rachel's goals are set, she's on her way to super-stardom with or without being married to Finn. But what does Finn have?!?! NOTHING!!! This is why I'm saying that he's walking himself into a trap of misery, putting his life on hold just so he can support his girlfriend...yah I don't think so!

Does anyone realize the divorce rate of teen marriages? Well Hiram certainly researched it and its pretty damn high, especially if one half of the couple is being forced to cater to their significant other for the rest of their life (which will increase chances of divorce). Finn is in a completely dark place as I said, he only proposed because he felt like his whole world was being ripped away from him! This isn't a fairytale its reality and people go through exactly what Finn is going through which is "depression" and "identity crises", these are not traits of a happy young individual ready to walk down the isle!! And Rachel is being completely selfish to not recognize the severness of how messed up he is and what this will do to him mentally and emotionally! She's taking complete advantage of him because all she's thinking about is having him as her cheerleader and having her dreams! Well eventually Ms. Berry is gonna have to learn you can't always have your cake and eat it too!

I'm just so worried for Finn and I can tell Kurt is now on board to protect him from a miserable future. Yes it may seem like he just jumped on the "support-Finn" bandwagon because his interest in Finn's case happened 12 episodes later in the season BUT what alot of you don't seem to realize is that Kurt's always been there for Finn when he's needed him. Kurt has always carried Finn's best interest at hand. No he hasn't been perfect and he has been selfish in the past but the fact that Kurt wants to help his brother who's suffering so much speaks volumes for how much he loves Finn. Kurt's not Finn's babysitter or his parent so he has no obligation to him, he wants to help Finn because that's his brother/friend and he cares too much to see him fall even further than he has. So if anyone can get through to Finn it'll be Kurt! I just hope this wedding is unsuccessful for his sake :(

^omfg PREACH! Not to mention and I don't want to sound like "a crazy religious nut" (as I have been described as before now)how everyone seems to have forgotten how disrespectful how disrespectful marraige is in the christian community - so I assume it's highly frowned upon in the jewish community too, it's litterally a promise to god that you're going to stay with this person for the rest of your lives and how can two people so young and naive be sure of that? it's pretty simple if you're not 100% sure that this is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with then don't freaking make that promise, it's pretty simple!!

All I can say is that Finn needs help bad and if he doesn't get it then as this article says he's going to ruin his life!

^PREACH!!! Finn does need serious help BIG TIME!!!! That's what I think Kurt's role in this plot will be, him helping Finn because he refuses to help himself! I just hate this storyline and I don't want to sit there and watch Finn throw his whole life away just to please the Finchel fandom, its not fair to him or Finn-fans because we support this person as an individual and care about whats best for him! Yes its a fictional show but Finn's character represents the "every person" the most realistic character on the show and in reality a rash decision like this at such a young age would ruin his life!!!!!

Okay so here's a huge shocker... brace yourself...

I am NOT Rachel's biggest fan.
But I know you all know that.

But the Finchel marriage will ruin both of their lives equally. They have such different hopes and dreams and aspirations, that they can't be together without great compromise on one or both of their parts.

So yes, the Finchel marriage will ruin Finn's life
But yes, the Finchel marriage will ruin Rachel's life

I feel MUCH worse about the former though

Team Finn.

^But see again Rachel has nothing to lose even if she marries Finn, what does she have to lose? All she'll gain is a cheerleader. She'll never give up her dreams or career for Finn, that's a big NO! Finn on the other had has nothing to gain from this but misery, loss and neglect of his own life! He'll have to sacrifice more compared to Ms. Broadway! I don't see how this is balanced at all.
