Jung Yong-hwa’s idol was Girls' Generation 

CNBLUE member Jung Yong-hwa was an avid fan of K-pop idol band Girls’ Generation, his friends said on the Mnet’s TV talk show “Jung Yong-hwa’s Hologram.”

In the episode that aired Thursday, Jung reminisced about the day he went to a Girls’ Generation’s concert as a high school student.

“I tried go backstage to say hello to Girls’ Generation, but I was blocked by security guards,” Jung said.

“Now, you can see them before your eyes,” his friends said in response.

The TV reality show followed Jung and seven friends as they were reunited at their hometown of Busan.

The singer-turned-actor, who recently returned with a solo album, made his way to the port city by train to visit his old friends despite his hectic schedule.

The four-episode program is Jung’s one-man show designed and filmed by Jung himself.

Meanwhile, Jung topped several local music charts and TV music programs with his latest ballad track “One Fine Day.”
