... Until early this year, anyway, when it was revealed that our groundbreaking African-American princess would not in fact be falling in love with an African-American prince.

Personally, I'm with this side of the argument:

"But at the same time, shouldn't we credit Disney for diversifying their portfolio and promoting interracial relationships? Won't this scenario help teach our kids about racial tolerance? Aren't we all just overreacting here? After all, this is an animated movie for kids about people who transform into frogs; the main characters even spend most of their screen time as reptiles. So should race even be an issue here?"

what controversy is there to make anyway??
look, its 2010 people should grow up enough about talking race in a Disney movie. who cares that the prince isnt American? kids are not going to see race in it they are more into the story
i am sick of people calling Disney is racist , violent etc.. just because it has different culture in it why does it have to be call 'its racist' "they are making about race !" ? people who say that sound racist to me, whats wrong having a story set in a different time and place? what kind of idiot thinks that because they(disney) are what they are, they intend to make race movie to piss people off.... like what do you know about anything,
stop putting race card on everything!!! dont judge it when you know nothing about it
