I dunno. Like Shan-yu is pretty evil and kills alot of people indescriminately but it's all for conquest and expanding the Hun empire... just about every culture is guilty of that at some point in history. They only look evil based on who's telling the story [usually the people that won]

But there's something about knowing your victim personally (knowing their name, their parents, their birthday)and still having every intention of killing them that strikes me as more evil.

I would normally say that Maleficent was the most evil in an instant but the more i think about it, the more the Evil Queen stands out. she was the closest thing Snow White had to a mother. And her reasons for killing her had nothing to do with anything anybody did. Maleficent was angry for being snubbed (a legitimate reason to be reasonably angry...not to kill a baby, but just angry). The queen wanted to kill Snow White for just being herself.

Though it makes me wonder....if the queen could turn herself ugly, doesn't she have some spell to make her MORE beautiful? couldn't she just cut Snow White, giving her a good scar across her face?

Obviously the Queen wasn't the brightest star in the sky.

Anyway, I hope Shan-Yu wins, I still find mass murder worse then killing someone you personally know. (Of course, Frollo was a combo of these two....which is why he's the most evil in my book.)

Yeah! and to top it all off he's truly convinced that what he does is the will of God. I'm not religious but I think using Jesus in the justification of killing anyone is evil.

Alafastanzio I think that it wouldnt have made any difference if she did a spell or cut Snow White. I thought by 'fairest' that it meant both in looks AND personality?? Correct me if im wrong though.

^^no, it was really just looks. The Queen cared about being the most beautiful. If it was about looks & Personality, do you think the Queen would have been fairiest ever?

^^Right because the mirror never makes any mention to Snow White's "personality".

^ Um it's possible to have a fair personality you know. Just because he describes her facial features, it doesn't necasarily mean he completely ruled out her personality. I thought it was one of the aspects of the movie that told the audience that The Queen would never be 'The Fairest in all the Land' even if Snow White died, simply because of her personality, which she no doubt thought was amazing just like her looks.

^^but before snow white, the queen was the fairest in the land. If he judged on personality, the queen wouldn't have been.

^it is possible. I actually interpretted the story the same way in other film versions. One version has the Queen never being able to look herself again in the Mirror because of her guilt. Another had the Mirror saying that snow white was still beautiful even in death and had that happened in this film, personality would have nothing to do with it. Since the queen dies before being able to ask the mirror once more, I guess I never even considered personality in the Disney version but I supposes its just as justifiable an interpretation in any version. Though I do fail to see how the "EVIL" Queen would have ever been in contention for the fairest unless the magical mirror decided to randomly get philosophical one day and include personality.
