I think Don Bluth's Beauty looks too much like Thumbelina, who was also made by Don Bluth. That dog in the picture with her looks like a female Charlie Barkin, who, like Thumbelina, was made by Don Bluth.

But Belle is the only brunette in the lineup. Brunettes can be gorgeous too. And I think Belle is. Though I think Don Bluth's Beauty has better hair in terms of style.

Disney's Belle is very pretty but her hair is ugly and she's actually quite common looking. Don Bluth's is much more unique and I love her hair. I think Don Bluth would've done a lot better job with this story than Disney did. Beauty and The Beast is a dark story and Don Bluth is better at making dark stories good compared to disney.
