Josh Gad (Olaf) Begs tu To Not Name Your Child 'Sven.' 

Josh Gad tells USA TODAY that he receives updates from parents who have named their children after the two princesses (Anna and Elsa, sort of understandable) but also the

reindeer Sven. Sven is cute, sure. But it’s a non-verbal reindeer people! Unless you actually live in Norway, it’s a hard name to explain on the playground. Says Gad:

People are naming their children after the reindeer. People have lost their minds. I think the world has

fever. It’s a pandemic that is sweeping the globe. But it needs to be diagnosed by doctors and a treatment needs to be found. If it gets to the point where you are naming your child after a reindeer, you really need to get yourself checked out.

Then again, as the song goes, reindeer are better than people.

As for people naming their children after a certain adorable snowman, Olaf, who happens to be voiced by Gad, then the actor is all for it:

I have no problem with that. Not only do I not have a problem with it, but I’ll put it out there that more people should actually do that. I think it should be as common as Brett or Michael.
