Liz was working at her office, when the phone ring.
“Sheriff Forbes” she dicho short when she answered.
“Sheriff Forbes, hi” Stefan replied. “I was wondering how it’s going with the murder on Gabe Lindy”
“I’m sorry, Stefan. I can’t give away such information” Liz answered.
“I’m going to take a wild guess and say the corpse is missing” Stefan dicho amused. A few segundos of complete silence followed. Stefan had asked Katherine to compel the sheriff to forget he knocked her down and took the body.
“What do tu know about that?” Liz eventually asked.
“Doesn’t matter” Stefan avoided the question. “But I think I might be able to help you. I think tu should take a look inside Rachel Lindy’s house”
“Stefan, if tu know something, tu have to tell me” Liz dicho strict.
“I just did” Stefan replied, even más amused. “You’re going to have to trust me on this, Liz. I promise tu won’t be disappointed”
Ten minutos later Liz stood in front of Rachel’s house. Since no one answered the door when she rang, she tried the door and successfully opened it.
“Mrs. Lindy?” she called. There was no reply. She walked through the hallway into the kitchen. There was no one.
Sheriff Forbes, having quite some experience in the matter, looked for the basement, switched the light on when she found it and went downstairs.
She found the corpse near the window. She conjured her phone and dialed a number.
