Global Crossroad's TEFL Program in China presents the marvelously vast country of China from a unique perspective. Our TEFL program – combined with our paid, English-teaching opportunities –provides a wide range of activities allowing participants to experience the unique life of China 's people in vastly different geographical locations. Our TEFL in China program is an extensive 4-week/150-hour program which includes 125 hours of coursework, materials and in-class lessons with the instructor. This program also includes 25 hours of volunteer English-teaching (including weekends), which includes three stages: teaching observations, classroom assistance and independent teaching. Both thorough and fun, this TEFL program provides participants with comprehensive training in a professional and supportive environment.

The School

Global Crossroad's TEFL school in China is located in Qingdao – a city famous for its beer brewery, beaches and mountains. This institution is approximately a 10-minute drive from the Qingdao Airport and 30-minute drive from either the downtown or beach-spotted areas. Our TEFL program in China is especially designed to provide in-depth, practical teaching methods taught by professional TEFL experts. In the beginning stage, we place participants in small scale (10-15 each class), voluntary teaching positions within the local communities. In the following stage, participants will be sent to observe and eventually teach at normal day-time schools (50-60 at each class) in either the Cheng-yang district or Qingdao City proper. Departing from and returning to Global Crossroad's TEFL institute, a week-day shuttle bus (normally 4 occasions daily) takes participants to the numerous, bustling shopping centers within Qingdao City or Cheng-yang's town center. Global Crossroad's TEFL school offers modern facilities such as computers with hi-speed internet access, cable TV, DVD-players, as well as comfortable classrooms and a big kitchen!
