Is Principal Wood dead

In the tv mostrar he did not die he was only pretending to surprise faith i do not know if he fed in the comics because I have not read them because I canot find them hope I helped

He is alive in comic books, no longer with Faith and I think that he was watcher of a squad of Slayers at the Hellmouth in Cleveland.
