(Photo : Facebook/Brooklyn Nine-Nine) New "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 spoilers suggest that Jake and Amy may finally end up together. We may also learn what happens to Charles and Gina.

The season two premiere of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" finds Jake working undercover, trying to take down the mob. Jenny Slate will be featured in the premiere episode and will play Bianca, a rough and tough mob mistress who may help Jake serve justice to the mob.

We\'ve also learned that season two does not pick up where season one ended. According to executive producer Mike Schur, "There is a time jump. It does not pick up right where we left off."

Last season saw Jake getting himself fired from the precinct so he could go undercover for the FBI. Also, Jake finally revealed to Amy that he had feelings for her.

Jake and Amy’s budding romance is “not going to be the main focus of the show,” Schur said. “It’s going to be one of the elements of the show we’re going to follow as the year goes on.”

For fans wondering about Charles and Gina\'s season one finale encounter, their relationship will play into the premiere and rest of the season. We can expect to see a lot about Charles and Gina since Schur said he threw in their encounter as a way to complicate things going forward in the show.

“We came up with the twist ending of Charles and Gina fairly early on, as a way to complicate everyone’s world heading into Season 2," said Schur.

As for cast news, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller, who play Scully and Hitchcock, respectively, have been promoted to series regulars. You can expect to see more screen time from the two. Executive producer Dan Goor said it’s “less likely that [Hitchcock and Scully] will die in a murder-suicide. We want to put them in as many stories as possible and give them as many stories as possible.”

Fan favorite guest stars Craig Robinson and Patton Oswalt may also make a return to the show. Schur said it\'s "always a possibility."

Kyra Sedgwick will also be starring in two episodes of season two. Sedgwick will play Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch, the longtime rival of Captain Holt. Deputy Chief Wuntch is evaluating all of the precincts, and she’s aiming to take Captain Holt and the rest of the precinct down.

Season two of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" premieres Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
