Do most single men fear commitment, and if they do, why?

I'm trying to find out what's the opinion of the majority of single men. I've been having such of bad luck with commitment lately, that I'm beginning to be scare about being committed to someone; after a couple of breakups and a long-term relationship rupture. I'm starting to realized that what most women want from me is money o a status. Are any guys out there feeling the same way I'm feeling? I will appreciate your answers..! Thank you.

commitment is something that men have to prepare themselves for,we cant just jump into it and expect that everything is going to be great, thats very rare. but there are a lot of patient women out there who understand that. and i have felt the same way before u just have to find the right girl, she's out there

Well I seriously doubt any chick would wanna go out with me for "Status". LOL. But the reason I fear commitment is because it brings on: arguments about the most stupidest things, having to run your plans por her, having to "make love" not sex, the constant texting, the jealousy and yes.....the belief that I have to pay for everything they want. I understand about paying for cena and comida and shit but I'm not gonna pay for a pair of shoes that cost an arm and a leg. SERIOUSLY!!! This girl i dated would go on shopping sprees and come to my place handing me the receipts so I could give her the money she spent. And I get por but I aint exactly loaded. Ok enough of the rant.
I'm not saying every girl is like this but there are hints of it in every girl. The dependency on money is rare in my opinion. I think it just gets to them

wealthy guy + me dating him = Money for me!!!

I think its más of a sub conscious thing (except for the perra I dated. she knew what she was doing....bitch). I think from an early stage in the relationship tu should mention that tu don't like that in a girl (ie. Mention your past experiences). But be subtle about it.

And remember...........NEVER PAY FOR THEIR SHOES!!!!!!!

I have to disagree with you, dude! I'm not saying many women aren't out for the material side of things but I do NOT believe that there is "hints of it in every girl." When I was very young I was in a relationship with a very wealthy man that was twice my age, I knew many folk thought it was for the money. The truth was I never gave a crap about his money at all. And now that I am an older woman, I still would never even consider going out with a man because of his money; in a relationship loot and any material gain is absolutey and totally irrelevant to ME!! But i do respect your opinion and do understand what tu are saying, nevertheless.

Thanks for the comment. However, I do bilieve that not all, but most women out there are saying the same thing that tu are saying. Nevertheless, I don't believe the any female will stay long enough in a relationship when the man stops providing for the economic status that she was use to. Lets be realistic, would tu stay with a man that can't provide to you?
