anime is a diffrent case..but the anime movie.......it is violent, brutal, bloody, gory, dark......it shows he story of kenshin when he was feared as Battousai the man slayer....this is the story b4 the rurouni kenshin anime...........!!!!!!!

Blade of the Immortal - The series is set in japón during the mid-Tokugawa Shogunate period and follows the cursed samurai Manji, who has to kill 1000 evil men in order to regain his mortality

The anime doesn't get that far. Like they expected another season and it didn't happen. Not much but bloody fighting etc . . .

I didn't get past the first episode, so I can't say how brutal o gory it gets, but it's known as one of the darkest animes in existence to those who know it: Texhnolyze

Gundam Seed had blood and at one point, one of the heroes got decapitated(At least in the Remastered Version)
