How about Battle of the Planets? It's basically an english dub of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman that completely sanitizes the mostrar of almost any and all violence (though it still isn't shy about mostrando death).
hmm...you could say that clannad is about the lives of nagisa, tomoya and the people around them... i know it sounds strange, but its really good and tu could say something a little different from the other animes too ^^ i hope i helped @capitaindinosaur
