hetalia axis powers would be perfect for tu to watch. Its the funniest anime i have ever seen and Hungray is the toughest chick i have ever seen (shes más manly than half of the hetalia guys)

tu should try watching Wallflower (yamato nadeshiko shichi henge) It's very funny and it's a good anime.

watch for the TINIEST bit of shounen-ai, it's not yaoi, it's just a dude with a really funny crush/admiration for another dude. Not really anything huge and it's más for humour's sake.
