Humphrey woke up the siguiente morning feeling funny. Him and Kate have fun every night, but not that night. He got up, got to the boat, and looked around it more. There was only one problem, he didn’t know how to put it back in the water. He didn’t know how to detach it from the truck either. Cando drove por and saw Humphrey working on the boat.
“Hey, Humphrey, what are tu doing? What is that thing?”
“It’s a boat. I’m still learning it. I don’t know how to put it in the water o detach it from this truck.”
“Why did tu choose an F-350 that looks identical to mine?”
“It was the only truck I was able to steal.”
Humphrey turned on the engine. About a minuto later the outboard drive started to smoke.
“Dude, it’s starting to smoke!”
“Oh crap!”
Humphrey quickly turned of the engine and read the manual, “Make sure a hose is hooked up to the nozzle in the engine compartment.”
Humphrey jumped down to get the hose then got back in and put it in the nozzle. He turned on the water and started the engine. Cando saw that the water coming out of the outboard drive.
“Dude, there’s a lot of dirty water!”
“That’s why I’m running the engine, to get clean water into the system. This outboard drive, I can tell, had been stuck on the shore. Doe tu see that gray outline on the prop?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s paint and outline scraped off of it from sand, mud and possible a rock.”
“Dude, how do tu know this?”
“The manual does tu a lot of good. Also, under the outboard drive, there is a hole. tu take it out to let massive amounts of water come out of it. There’s a plug that tu have to screw into it. If tu bring your barco into the water without the plug, it will fill up with water and sink.”
“Wow, tu know a lot!”
“But I still can’t figure out the fricken basics!” he turned off the boat, “I don’t know how to detach the barco from the truck o how to… oh, I found it.”
Cando yawned, “This is getting boring just get on with it.”
“Ok, so when tu back your barco into the water, make sure tu have the plug in and the rear straps off. Once your boat’s stern (back end) is in the water, bring the barco back más and take off the front strap.”
“Thanks, now I’m gonna go.”
“Thanks for keeping me company, tu nub.”
Kate came out, “How’s my grounded husband doing?”
“Not really much, just working on the boat. I felt weird getting up this morning.”
“That is called being aroused, also people call it horny.”
“Can tu turn off the water?”
“Alright,” she turned it off, “You know, if tu didn’t come inicial late, tu wouldn’t be grounded.”
Humphrey jumped down, “I gotta tell tu something. I got arrested.”
“You what!?”
“Yesterday, when I was passing por the river, I saw this boat. I pulled out my gun and used the scope to zoom in. As I zoomed, I accidentally fired, and a cop was right there. I had to run, so I swam to this boat, and ran from the cops with this. A cop jumped onto my barco and punched me in the face, which knocked me out. A few hours later, I found myself in a jail. I broke out, got this boat, and drove back here.”
“Oh, Humphrey, I’m sorry, you’re not grounded.
Humphrey hugged Kate, “Really?”
Kate pushed him away, “No not really! For being arrested I’m adding another week!”
“Alright, mom, fine!”
“Quit calling me mom!”
Kate went back in, as Humphrey continued with the boat.
“I need to launch this fricken thing.”
He detached the barco from the F-350 first. He put the front jack down, and lowered it until the wheel touched the ground. After that, he pulled up the latch, detached the hook and chains, and lastly took off the adapter. He thought about who to give the truck to. Then he remembered Lilly didn’t have a truck.
“I’ll give this thing to Lilly. She’ll like it.”
Humphrey drove over to Lilly, “Hey, Lilly, This truck is for you!”
“Thank you, Humphrey!”
She hugged him hard and for a long time.
“Lilly, I think it’s time to let go.”
“Sorry, it’s just that Garth is gone, and he’s been gone for a few days, and I’ve had a weird feeling. I just want him back to stick himself back into me.”
Humphrey’s eye twitched. Using that term disturbed him, “I know how tu feel. Kate grounded me.”
“From what?”
“There’s only one thing she can ground me from.”
“Oh, so tu have that feeling right now?”
“Yup. I gotta go launch my new boat.”
“What’s a boat?”
“Oh yeah, I forgot tu didn’t see it.”
Humphrey got in the F-350, “I’ll drive tu there.”
“No, my truck!”
Lilly pulled Humphrey out of the drivers seat. She tried to get in, but Humphrey pulled her down with him. He landed on parte superior, arriba of her.
“Oh, Humphrey!”
“Oh, Lilly!”
Humphrey got back up and got in the passenger seat. Both of them were still in laughter. Lilly drove to Humphrey’s guarida, den and saw the boat.
“Is that a boat?”
“Yup, it’s the one I was talking about.”
Lilly got out and examined it. He dicho the same thing to Lilly as he did Cando. Except Lilly was completely interested. Cando was interested just for the future.
“Do tu wanna help me launch it?”
“Sure!”
Humphrey hooked it up to the Armada and drove it to a place they were able to launch it. He got in the barco and Lilly started pulling back into the water. Humphrey remembered something and his corazón raced.
“Wait! Hold up! Hold up!”
“What?”
“Pull forward!”
Humphrey jumped down, “I need to put the plug in and take the rear straps off.”
“What happens if tu don’t take the straps off?”
“I’m not sure if they’ll snap, o the barco goes down with the trailer. But putting the plug in is más important.”
Lilly started backing up again. Humphrey took off the front strap, and embanked it, which is bringing the bow to the surface of the shore. He dropped the anchor on the stern, just in case. He also raised the trim.
Lilly pulled up towing the trailer, “Where do tu want me to put this?”
“Hold up a second, let me drop the anchor and put everything away.”
Humphrey put the anchor down and put everything away. He carried Lilly from the drivers asiento to the passenger side. He jumped into the Armada and onto Lilly, and closed the door.
Lilly started giggling, “Humphrey, what are tu doing?”
“I’m too lazy to walk around to the other side,” he closed his door and drove off.
“Enjoy your new F-350, por the way.”
“I will, thanks Humphrey!”
Lilly kissed his on cheek, and smiled at him. Is she starting to feel that way about me? Humphrey thought.
Humphrey went back into his guarida, den and went to bed. It was still daylight.
“Hey, Humphrey, what are tu doing? What is that thing?”
