I read today that executive producer Howard Gorden said Jack Bauer will face an unhappy ending because the show is a tragedy and it would be unrealistic if he had a happy ending. This is true, but on the other hand he has suffered and lost so much and so many people, so hasn't he already suffered enough. Is this not tragic enough?
