Chapter Fifteen:

Nightwing ran to the wreckage. He picked up a large piece of debris and tossed it to the side.

"Revenge?"

Barbara appeared siguiente to him, yelling for Revenge's female counterpart.

"Infrared is picking up nothing." Barbara said. She put a hand on Nightwing's shoulder. "Dick, I'm sorry."

Debris moved a few yards away. Nightwing looked up. The debris continued to shift until a silver colored figure emerged from it.

"Revenge!"

Revenge growled and brushed a piece of castillo off of him. His suit was completely gone. Titanium plating, which was all that was left, made him look like a super-soldier from the future.

"Where's Holly?" Nightwing asked.

At the same moment, the blonde raised herself from the ground, groaning as pain flushed through her body. She stumbled and Revenge caught her.

"So that's what tu two ran off to do? Blow the place up?" Batgirl asked.

"Yes." Revenge said. "Well, that was Holly's idea. I just planted the timer."

"And saved my life." acebo said.

Revenge grinned and lifted up his mask just enough to press his mouth to hers.

Nightwing smirked. He and Batgirl respectfully disappeared into the night.

"Revenge was right." Nightwing said, looking up from the computer screen. "They were sophisticated robot-fleshlings."

Revenge, with his recently repaired costume, looked at the diagram. "Exactly what I thought." he said.

Before Nightwing could inquire what the Black Hero meant, the zeta-tube warmed up.

acebo looked around, noting that the entire team was there.

"Who--?"

"Recognized: Kid Flash. B-03."

Wally stumbled out of the zeta-tube at super-speed and fell down in front of Nightwing.

"Whoah buddy." Nightwing said, laughing. "Slow down!"

"Artemis!" Wally exclaimed. "They took Artemis!"

"Whoah Whoah Whoah. What?" Nightwing asked.

"They took Artemis. You've got to do something!"

"Who took her?" Nightwing asked.

"The people who were really behind this." Revenge said. "N.O.W.H.E.R.E."

Blood trickling down my bruised chin, my sides aching and beaten, I lay among the rubble in the hard metal floor. I can barely see the mess around me, my eyes clouded por the static along with the rest of my glitchy body.

I fixed it, the future is saved, the barren wasteland that I grew up in will never exist, but at a horrible cost that no one will mourn. Erasing one's time means erasing that person's existence along with it, and everything they ever did.
