Chapter 26-

"Well, yo certainly aren't who I was expecting Mr.Grant." Cheshire said, leaning on her sword.

Revenge growled and leaped at the Asian assassin. She dodged, but Revenge grabbed his mask and slid it on.

"Someone's insecure." Cheshire said.

Revenge growled and leapt at her again.

"He dicho he'd keep tu safe." she told herself.

"But what if he can't stop them?" she reprimanded herself. "What if they-"

She gulped, unable to complete the sentence.

Revenge stumbled back, saith in his leg and various other limbs and pieces of his body bleeding.

"One last time." Cheshire said. "Take me to Holly."

"Never." Revenge managed to gasp out.

Cheshire grabbed the vigilante and bent him ever so slowly backwards, her blade at and her hand around his throat. Revenge was unable to breathe, his back was near the breaking point, and a blade was pressing into is throat. He could do nothing to save himself.

Suddenly, Cheshire was gone. Revenge fell, gasping for air and rubbing his throat. He rolled over onto all fours and looked around, still gasping for oxygen.

acebo was pinned against the wall, unconscious, Cheshire's blade at her throat.

"No!" Revenge yelled, somehow finding the strength to leap at the assassin, knocking her off of the blonde. Revenge rolled and kicked Cheshire across the room.

The assassins stood up wearily and looked around. She tossed a grenade in Revenge's direction. Revenge leapt on parte superior, arriba of Holly, covering her as it exploded.

Heat, blindness, and smoke resulted. As soon as the smoke cleared and Revenge regained his vision, he saw Cheshire was gone.

Lifting acebo up gently, he took her into a bedroom upstairs and laid her down gently, making sure she was okay before returning to the mess of a base below.

The news covered every detail over the reciente termination of the Hall of Justice. And the wreckage from the Watch Tower very few had known about. It was then confirmed. The Justice League was gone. Pieces of the charred uniforms and old relics that were found only proved that theory. And the volcanic eruption of Mt. Justice proved what the world now believed.
